Merging fleets is a simple process that allows you to combine multiple fleets into a single, larger fleet. Here’s how you can merge fleets:
- Select Fleets: First, select the fleets you want to merge. You can do this by clicking on one fleet, holding down the Ctrl key (Cmd on Mac), and then clicking on the other fleets you want to include in the merge. Alternatively, you can draw a box around multiple fleets to select them all at once.
- Merge Command: Once you have the fleets selected, a button with a chain-link icon will appear at the bottom of the fleet panel. Click on this button. It’s usually located near the ship list and fleet details.
- Confirm Merge: After clicking the merge button, a confirmation dialog will appear asking if you’re sure you want to merge the fleets. Confirm the merge, and the selected fleets will combine into one.
- Result: The fleets will merge into a single fleet under the command of the fleet that was selected first. The merged fleet will have the combined strength of all the fleets that were merged.
It’s important to note that when merging fleets, the fleet that was selected first will be the one that remains, and the other fleets will be merged into it. The fleet that remains will retain its admiral, fleet name, and any special orders it had.
Keep in mind that fleet merging is an essential tactic in managing your military forces efficiently, especially during large-scale wars or when reinforcing your fleets with newly built ships.
